Running a brewery today often means using more than one software system. A brewery management system tracks stock, production records and compliance. A scheduling or optimisation tool helps plan what to brew, when to brew it, and where it should go.
The real value comes when these systems talk to each other.
I am pleased to announce that Efficient Brewing now integrates directly with Breww.
Why integration matters
One of the main barriers to adopting any new decision support tool is setup time.
Even if the benefits are clear, no brewer wants to spend days re-entering data. Tanks, batches, equipment lists — these are already stored in your brewery management system. Recreating them manually is inefficient and increases the risk of error.
The new integration removes that barrier for Breww users.
By synchronising your existing data directly into Efficient Brewing, you can get started quickly and confidently — without duplicating work.
How the Breww integration works
The process is intentionally simple.
- The Breww user generates an API key within Breww.
- That API key is added to Efficient Brewing.
- Click Sync.
That’s it.
Your batches and equipment data are automatically brought into Efficient Brewing. Fermenters, tanks, and active batches are ready to be used in the scheduling system.
For most breweries, this means you can move from sign-up to running optimisation in as little as 30 minutes.
What needs to be added manually?
There is one important point to note.
At present, Breww does not allow recipe data to be synchronised via the API. This means that before running optimisation, the brewer will need to add some additional information inside Efficient Brewing.
Specifically, you will need to define the vessel residence times for each beer type in your batches. In simple terms, how long each beer occupies each stage of the process.
While this is an additional step, it also ensures that the scheduling system reflects how your brewery actually operates. Once added, this information can be reused for future schedules.
A major step forward for Breww users
This integration is a significant enhancement for users of both Breww and Efficient Brewing.
Breww manages the operational record of your brewery. Efficient Brewing focuses on helping you make better production decisions through optimisation and scheduling.
By connecting the two, we reduce friction and make advanced scheduling accessible to more breweries.
Less setup.
Less duplication.
Faster access to optimisation.
If you are already using Breww and have been considering how to improve production planning, this integration makes getting started much simpler.
As always, the aim of Efficient Brewing is to make better decision-making tools available to working breweries — without adding complexity.
Better data flow leads to better decisions.
